Mohamed A. Khamsi received his Ph.D. from the University of
Paris VI in 1987. Besides his research interests in Functional Analysis,
Fixed Point Theory, Discrete Dynamical Systems and Logic Programming,
he has been actively involved in running a scientific publishing company.
Helmut Knaust received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas
at Austin in 1989. His major research expertise is in Functional Analysis,
in particular Banach Space Theory. His interest in computer-aided instruction naturally led to his exploration
of the potential of the World-Wide Web for educational purposes.
Nancy C. Marcus
received her Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico in 1975. She has gained national recognition for
pioneering a modular design of freshmen college courses to facilitate students' transition from high school to
the university. In 1998 Nancy was the first recipient of the prestiguous Chancellor's Teaching Award from the University of Texas at El Paso.
